Personal effects are not accepted through standard pallet services and may be sent using our DHL service only. Used furniture must be professionally packed by a removal company. Dangerous goods must be declared before booking and may be possible only following manual review and carrier approval.

Argentina may apply additional controls to certain goods, including food, plant, animal, medical, chemical, used, high-value or regulated products. If you are unsure whether your shipment can be accepted, provide the goods description, value, commodity code, dimensions, weight, collection address and delivery address before booking.

How to Book a Pallet Delivery to Argentina

• Get an online quote or request pricing — Enter the collection and delivery locations, shipment quantity, weight and dimensions.
• Choose your service — Select air freight for urgent shipments where online pricing is available, or request sea freight pricing for larger, heavier or non-urgent freight.
• Prepare your goods — Secure the goods to the pallet or crate, protect corners and edges, and make sure the shipment is safe for long-haul handling.
• Confirm the paperwork — For shipments between Great Britain and Argentina, you will normally need a Commercial Invoice containing accurate goods descriptions, values, HS/commodity codes, country of origin and sender/receiver details. The Argentine importer may also need to provide information required for customs clearance.
• Book collection — Your shipment is collected from the UK or Argentina address, depending on whether you are exporting or importing.
• Track the shipment — Tracking is available on most services. For sea freight, full-container and specialist movements, updates may be available on request during business hours.
• Delivery in Argentina or the UK — Delivery can be arranged to the final address or agreed port/facility where supported by the selected service and customs arrangements.

Customs and Paperwork for Great Britain–Argentina Shipments

Argentina is outside the UK and EU customs areas and uses the Argentine peso.

Commercial shipments between Great Britain and Argentina require customs documentation. Goods moving in either direction should be declared clearly, with accurate descriptions, values, HS/commodity codes, country of origin and importer/exporter details.

You will usually need:

• Commercial Invoice with clear goods descriptions, values, country of origin and HS/commodity codes
• Exporter and importer details
• Incoterms confirming who is responsible for transport, duties and taxes
• Product-specific certificates or licences for controlled goods
• ISPM-15 / NIMF 15 compliant wooden pallets or packaging where required
• Bill of Lading for some sea freight movements
• Airway or carrier documentation for some air freight movements

For imports into Argentina, the Argentine receiver or importer may need to provide local tax and customs details, such as CUIT, and may need to work with an authorised customs broker, customs declarant or local import representative depending on the shipment and import arrangements.

Argentina does not use the EU VAT system. Imports may be subject to customs duty, IVA, statistical charges, customs clearance charges and other destination costs depending on the goods, HS or commodity code, customs value, country of origin and import arrangements.

Argentina's general IVA rate is 21%, although other rates can apply to certain goods or services.

DAP is commonly used for international deliveries, where the receiver is responsible for import duties, taxes and clearance-related charges.

DDP may be possible on selected services depending on the goods, route and carrier, but it must be confirmed before booking.

Accurate paperwork is essential. Incorrect descriptions, missing importer details, wrong HS codes, unclear Incoterms, missing licences or incomplete documents can lead to customs holds, inspections, storage charges or delivery delays.
