Cargo-only flights from the USA to London, Paris, Zurich and Rome

In order to offer 126 weekly flights in 15 cities in the USA, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean, American Airlines is increasing its cargo-only operations this month. They will also increase the flights from the USA to Europe.

New flights beginning May include cargo-only service from American's largest hub in the Midwest, Chicago O'Hare (ORD), to London Heathrow Airport (LHR), United Kingdom, and Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG), France.

From Philadelphia (PHL), American will begin cargo-only service to Zurich (ZRH), Switzerland, and Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), Italy. American's Philadelphia hub is known for its leading temperature-control facility equipped to safely move temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals including essential medicines. From ZRH-PHL, American will be moving vital pharmaceutical chemicals, trucked from Germany to San Juan Airport (SJU), Puerto Rico. From New York, John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), American will begin cargo-only service to LHR.

Tim Isik, Director Cargo Sales - Europe, Middle East and Africa declared: "At the end of March, we introduced two cargo-only flights from Frankfurt (FRA), the first cargo-only flight for American since 1984. With the support of our tremendous team, we now offer cargo capacity on 126 international flights per week. This expansion reinforces our ability to adapt, and we are proud to play our part in the global relief efforts and to care for people on life's journey."

Across American's cargo network, life-saving medical equipment and supplies, personal protective equipment and pharmaceuticals are being shipped, as well as essential goods including manufacturing and automotive equipment, mail, fresh food&beverages and healthcare products.

Furthermore, American Airlines continues to ship cargo on all its passenger flights. Worldwide, the airline's widebody aircraft operates up to 126 weekly flights. Passenger flights on widebody airplanes include daily service between DFW and LHR; daily service between MIA and LHR; regular service between DFW and Madrid Barajas (MAD) and three weekly flights between DFW and Tokyo Narita (NRT).
